Confirm your customers' bank data
at the source,
straight from their bank

With their consent, your customer connects their bank and you receive data verified at the source — account ownership, IBAN, identity and, when you need it, balance and transactions — with no documents, no screenshots and no data that can be manipulated. YOiD is an account information service provider registered with the Bank of Spain.

YOiD operates as an account information service provider (AISP), registered with the Bank of Spain under no. 6929, under the PSD2 framework. Access to data always requires the account holder's explicit consent and is obtained directly from the bank through its official interface — never through shared credentials or screen scraping.

The problem

The data your customer gives you
isn't always the customer's data.

A typed-in IBAN, a PDF statement or a photo of a document are all data supplied by the user — and can be miscopied, outdated or manipulated. Verifying them by hand takes time and leaves room for fraud.

How it's done today

Data supplied by the user

  • IBAN typed by hand, with errors and no ownership guarantee
  • Statements, payslips and bank slips in PDF that can be edited
  • Slow manual review that's hard to audit
  • Identity, account and transactions verified separately, never linked
With YOiD Bank Data

Data verified at the source

  • Holder, IBAN, balance and transactions arrive straight from the bank
  • Data verified at the source, impossible to manipulate
  • Explicit consent and an auditable log of every access
  • Identity, ownership and financial data in a single flow
How it works

Four steps.
Verified data in seconds.

You integrate YOiD once — with a link or via API — and the customer completes the flow from their own bank, with the same security as the online banking they already use.

1

You start the request

Launch the flow from your website or app with a link or an API call.

2

The customer chooses their bank

They select their bank and authenticate with their usual credentials. They give explicit consent.

3

YOiD accesses via AISP

Under PSD2, YOiD retrieves the authorized data from the bank through its official interface.

4

You receive verified data

Holder, IBAN, identity and transactions arrive structured and confirmed at the source, ready for your process.

How your customer
accesses their data

With their consent, they connect their bank and you share only what's needed: identity, account ownership and, when you need it, balance and transactions. The customer sees and authorizes it before it's sent.

Use cases

What verified bank data
is used for

The same data verified at the source solves different problems depending on your business.

🪪

Identity backed by the bank

Confirm the customer's identity by relying on the verification their bank already performed, without repeating the process.

📊

Data to assess ability to pay

Provide income, recurring expenses and transactions verified with consent as an input to your creditworthiness assessment.

YOiD provides the data; the decision to grant credit always rests with the lender.

🛡️

Fraud prevention

Close the door on spoofed IBANs and fake documents by verifying data at the source, not in a document supplied by the user.

Why YOiD

Data you can trust,
obtained the right way

🏦

Verified at the source

The data comes from the bank, not the user. It can't be edited, faked or mistyped.

Frequently asked questions

We answer your questions

What data can you provide?

+
The holder's identity, account ownership and IBAN and, depending on the scope you request and the customer authorizes, their balance and transactions (a statement with amount, date, counterparty and description). You define the scope; the holder approves it before anything is shared.

What is an AISP and why does it matter?

+
An account information service provider (AISP) is an entity authorized under PSD2 to access, with the holder's consent, their account information through the bank's official interface. YOiD is registered as such with the Bank of Spain under no. 6929. It means data arrives through a regulated channel, not by copying credentials or screens.

Do I need a license to use it?

+
No. YOiD holds the AISP status. You integrate the service and receive the verified data; YOiD maintains the regulated relationship with the bank.

Can I use this data to grant credit?

+
You can use the verified bank data and transactions as input to your creditworthiness assessment. YOiD provides reliable financial information obtained at the source with consent; the assessment and the decision to grant or deny credit always remain the lender's responsibility. Consumer credit regulation reinforces the requirement to base that assessment on adequate, verifiable information.

How is customer consent obtained?

+
The customer authenticates at their own bank and authorizes access to the specific data within the requested scope. Consent is explicit, limited to that scope and logged in an auditable way.

How does it differ from reading an ID card via NFC?

+
They're complementary. NFC ID card reading (YOiD ID Verify) confirms identity from the document; Bank Data confirms account ownership, identity and financial data from the bank. You can use each separately or combine them in the same onboarding.
